Statewide Public Relations Manager - Full Time, Grand Rapids

Michigan Blood is looking for a dynamic, creative PR veteran to lead a stepped-up effort to spread the word about Michigan Blood by interacting more broadly with the communities we serve. We are based in Grand Rapids and serve communities and hospitals throughout the Lower Peninsula from five regional offices. You will lead a team of six PR professional across the state & manage daily operation in the Grand Rapids region.

As the statewide leader you will oversee an intentional process to promote community support through community partnerships and strategic alliances, community education, media relations, special events and stewardship/social responsibility initiatives.

This position requires experience in public relations and management with strong leadership and prioritization skills. In-depth knowledge of the Grand Rapids community is also desirable. A Bachelor's degree plus more than five years public relations experience are required, along with at least three years experience managing a team. Excellent communication and a drive to succeed are a must. This position will involve some local travel and occasional travel to other offices across the state. Some evening & weekend hours required.
