Launching GR's Downtown Market - September 18, 2014

Grand Rapids Downtown Market is a mixed-use facility that brings together production, distribution, marketing and education about local produce. Their indoor facility features a 24-vendor market hall, incubator kitchens, rooftop greenhouses, and the nation’s first demonstration kitchen for kids – all while dozens of farmers and artisans use the outdoor market space to sell their products. Its story is one of environmentally sustainable economic renewal of a formerly depressed area (the Downtown Market is set to become the first LEED-certified such space in the US). One year in, the Downtown Market has firmly established itself as a popular destination for West Michigan's burgeoning epicurean community. Join us to find out how PR helped drive their successful launch as we hear from President/CEO Mimi Fritz and Spokesperson Brian Burch of Burch Partners.
