• Manage customer relationships with prospective and current advertisers in a regional territory of Western Michigan. • Ability to manage database through attention to detail. • Write up proposals and convert contracts. • Manage around 200 phone calls weekly. • Attend meetings with the Sales Director and Sales & Marketing Team to approach Sales from a team perspective. • Achieve all company assigned revenue goals/expectations. • Travel required in a small region to meet face-to-face with prospective clients.

  The graphic designer will support the communications department’s recruitment and retention marketing efforts. Primary responsibilities include the creation and editing of print and web materials using basic design principles that enhance the GRCC Brand. Additional responsibilities include innovative thinking to develop new solutions that address visual challenges within the brand, and participating in daily graphic design team meetings to prioritize and accomplish communications department goals.

  Essential Job Functions - Advise and assist college departments with graphic design, from concept to production, while maintaining GRCC Brand Standards. - Manage graphic design process for each project from estimation to conceptualization to developing timelines, among other basic project management tasks. - Manage the print production process in coordination with college printing services, or external vendors for each project. - Collaborate with members of the communications department, as needed, for copywriting, editing/proofreading, and photography services to complete each project. - Innovate new ways to elevate GRCC Brand Standards within each project. - Provide creative direction using basic design principles for each project. - Educate college clients about communications department processes for graphic design project work. - Consult on and help update college graphic identity guide. - Promote communications department services to college clients. - Assist lead graphic designer with management of graphic design process documentation and policies. - Represent the department on college teams, as needed. - Regular attendance during normal scheduled hours is required. WMPRSA Mentor Hub Mixer - 1/22/13 at the Haworth Interphase at MoDiv

WMPRSA MENTOR HUB MIXER | January 22, 2013 | Haworth Interphase at MoDiv - Downtown GR | 5:15pm – 6:30pm The West Michigan Public Relations Society of America is starting a program called, Mentor Hub for business professionals and students from local colleges and universities to offer  career counsel, knowledge, and wisdom to those juniors and seniors looking to make their career in communications.

January 22, 2013 will kick-off with an event that will entertain a unique start to pairing mentors and mentees. This event will allow potential mentors and mentees to be acquainted before being paired after the event. Mentors do not need to be members of WMPRSA, but must work in the communications field in order to participate.


The night will start with networking, and quickly move on to a 'bio auction' where mentors will be introduced in game show-style with information from their resume, including current and past professional experiences, and hobbies. We might just say, “Come on down!”

From there, a speed dating set-up will allow mentors and mentees to have 1-2 minutes of face-time where they can become more acquainted.

Finally, mentees will have the opportunity to write down three mentor names they would choose to have as a mentor, descending in priority.
