Roles and Responsibilities

Member Communications

  • Produce a quarterly e-newsletter that shares resources, best practices, WMPRSA events and other engagement opportunities. Newsletter will be moving to monthly.

  • Promote national membership drives and resources

  • Write blog posts for the website, newsletter and social media (often with assistance from a WMPRSSA student)

  • Engage with current and future members via social media

Social Media and Website Management

  • Maintain the WMPRSA website and social media sites

  • Write, edit and post relevant and timely content in conjunctions with other committees (membership, programming, mixers, PRoof)

Event Promotion

  • Coordinate with Jen Gilman to advertise upcoming events on social media, newsletter and website

  • Document events via blog posts and photography


Manages new member recruitment and member retention.

Roles and Responsibilities

Committee purpose: Help facilitate recruitment, onboarding and retention activities for chapter members and prospective members


  • Target non-PRSA members who have attended meetings and events in the past (e.g., Send letters thanking for attendance and outlining benefits)

  • Promote national membership drives (with support from Communications committee)

  • Engage with PRSSA students throughout the year to connect them to parent chapter/org (e.g., involve student at meetings, speak to chapters, do networking events with Student Dev)

  • Cross-promote PRSA and cross-host events with other communications groups



  • Recruit members to join committees so they are involved/enfranchised w/ chapter and have other ways to network outside of monthly meetings

  • Advocate for members-only benefits (e.g., private consults) at meetings for added value

  • Connect personally with lapsed members – e.g., follow up via email or call by a board member who knows them


Liaises with college PR students at area universities. Plan, execute and/or promote mentorship opportunities to the WMPRSA membership with PRSSA students in order to develop relationships with next gen PR pros.

Roles and Responsibilities

To plan, execute and handle day-of activities of all monthly programs

  • This includes: attending monthly programs, selecting topics and speakers, securing venue, coordinating menu and count for event within venue set timeline, coordinating AV needs, creating copy and verbiage for social media and website, coordinating invites and reminders to go out through chapter administrator.
