WHILE ADDING 30,000 FRIENDS TO YOUR CONTACT LIST!

Networking. That’s always one of the top answers that comes up when a member is asked what they like about being part of WMPRSA. With over 130 members in West Michigan, there’s a pretty good chance that the communications challenge you’re facing has been successfully tackled by another colleague in our chapter. Even if only through ZOOM (right now), the opportunity to get to know others and share “in the trenches” stories while gaining fresh perspectives and insights into our continually-evolving industry is reason enough to value membership in WMPRSA.

Another widely-known opportunity afforded by WMPRSA membership is the ability members have to attain formal professional recognition through PR Certification, APR, and College of Fellows. But with the many responsibilities each of us face daily, it’s easy to forget the other valuable ways to stay “on top of your game” through our local chapter. Whether by attending one of our monthly educational or professional development webinars, volunteering to work on a committee, discovering different disciplines or learning about different job opportunities via chapter meetings, there are a variety of ways stay on top of best practices and sharpen your own professional skills.

And all this doesn’t take into account the added-value offerings afforded to chapter members via our PRSA national organization, consisting of nearly 30,000 members. The principal advocate for industry excellence and ethical conduct, there are an array of offerings available to all of us, many of which are free of charge. These include: Live online courses; On-demand online courses; On-demand webinars; Case study presentations; Workshops and Events; Conferences, and Recognition and Award opportunities.
